The way buildings use energy is being revolutionized by a solution that Intel is deploying, in cooperation with GE, in its own headquarters. It leverages an Intel atom-based processor connected to Predix, the operating system for the Industrial Internet, to control environment inside a building. Smart lighting and HVAC solutions created by Intel and Current powered by GE leverage a purpose-built energy platform that is cloud-, sensor-, and compute-enabled with Predix.
